An Apology for An Unforeseen Second Delay

To My Amazing and Loyal Readers,

I am so very sorry to yet again delay Every Pearl Has Its Oyster.  I know I made promises to the fans, and it hurts me so much to know that I’m disappointing you.  I feel quite a bit like Gemma right now (agh, you’ll see!).  As you know, this is the second time I've had to delay the release and I feel I owe everyone an explanation as to why.

For some time, I’ve been trying to repair and recover files from my MacBook and the logic board that, according to my Apple genius, “fizzled out” on me.  At first, I was told I’d probably lost everything… but when they started recovering some files here and there, I felt hope! I should have just started rewriting the book from scratch, but instead, I edited an old manuscript while waiting for all my pages to be recovered.  They told me it could be ready in time for the release, but alas, the pages still haven’t been retrieved.

And I’m learning my lesson now that I shouldn’t put all my eggs in one basket/logic board.  I shouldn’t have waited so long and put so much hope on the poor Apple Genius Bar that I, at one point, burst into tears in front of (that indeed happened.  The footage is on a security camera somewhere in the SoHo Apple Store… awesome).

So my dear fans, I’m writing this letter to tell you that I will have EPHIO out in June and at the latest, July (unless the files are recovered earlier).  Please know that I am thinking of you fans every day as I rewrite, and your tweets, messages, emails and comments to me are each read with a huge smile on my face! I appreciate your readership more than I can describe.  Thank you so much for sticking with me and understanding (and I hope this doesn’t sound weird, but I love you guys!).
